How long have I been a captive of my negative thoughts? How do I take control of my thoughts and steer them in the positive direction? What would it look like to encourage and inspire others?
I’m a Realist ~ Not a Dreamer
I always joked about being the realist in a room of dreamers but the truth is I was afraid to dream. Fear is crippling in so many ways! Instead of encouraging the creatives – I squashed those ideas with my negative responses. One boss told me to write down all of my thoughts instead of speaking {ouch!} so that the creative juices could flow. There would be a time for the realistic criteria to come into play – but the creative space was for imagination, dreaming, and possibilities. Am I a captive of my negative thoughts or a captain of my positive thoughts?
Encourage & Inspire
As sisters and business partners, we have given each other permission to point out when the other is in a negative thought pattern. Replacing that thought pattern with a positive thought or statement has shifted my entire outlook!
Earl Nightingale said, ‘The fact that we, literally, become what we think about most of the time.’

Although these words were penned in 1979, how true they ring for today.
‘You can resign yourself to mediocrity or you can dare to dream of conquering outer space, inspiring the youth of our nation, discovering a cure for a dread disease, helping the less fortunate, creating a new masterpiece of art or music, or even of changing history.’ Dr. Denis Waitley
